Early Saturday morning—it was a wintry day—I took Nicola up the London Eye to present her with this diamond/platinum engagement ring. A foggy day, in London town... but the sun was shining all around.

This is a gorgeous ring, just perfect, and coordinating so well with your watch (see engagement party photo). I'm reminded of Wings' 1978 album/song, "London Town", celebrating the grey charm of the city in winter. The photos of the London Eye on their website are dramatic, and it is not noted in what way the beast moves - white-knuckled fast or imperceptably slow? I suppose it suggests a fairground ride and is probably trying to be much more sophisticated. Did you have a pod to yourselves for the "flight"? Best wishes and congratulations!
